Mette Juul is the VOICE right now if you want to know in which direction Danish and Scandinavian vocal jazz is moving.
Five releases in her career and hundreds of concerts in Denmark, Scandinavia and Europe have paved the way for Mette Juul’s international breakthrough.
Trained with singing from Rhythmkons in Copenhagen and also a specialist in the anatomy of her voice, she has complete control of her vocal effects.
Mette Juul also plays guitar. On stage mostly the acoustic guitar is amplified, so some passages have light singer-songwriter touches. Mette Juul composes many of her songs herself, and they are all exciting to go to for herself and the participating musicians. In addition, she finds inspiration in the large, American evergreens.
